Pitbay — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Pitbay apps and services. By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the apps.

1. Who we are

Pitbay is a marketplace that connects vehicle owners with wash centers. We are not a wash center ourselves and we do not perform washes — that work is done by independent center operators listed on the platform.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Pitbay.
• You agree to provide accurate name, mobile number, and email, and to update them if they change.
• You are responsible for all activity on your account. Keep your OTP private.
• One account per person. Don't create duplicate accounts to abuse promo offers.

3. Bookings

• Slot reservation. When you confirm a booking, the wash center holds the slot for you. Please arrive within 15 minutes of the slot time.
• Cancellation & refunds. Cancel more than 2 hours before your slot for a 100% refund. For a no-show, or a cancellation within 2 hours of the slot, 50% is automatically refunded. See our full Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Reschedule. You may reschedule a confirmed booking from the app up to the original slot time, subject to slot availability.
• No-show. If you don't arrive within 15 minutes of your slot, the center may release the slot. For a no-show, 50% of the amount is automatically refunded.

4. Payment

You pay for your booking securely online at checkout through our payment partner Razorpay (UPI, cards, net-banking, and wallets). Razorpay's own terms apply to the processing of your payment in addition to these Terms. Your money is settled to the wash center (net of any Pitbay platform fee) after the service.

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If a paid booking cannot be completed, Pitbay refunds you automatically to your original payment method.

5. Promo codes & offers

• Promo codes are valid only for the specific terms shown when applied (minimum order, expiry, usage caps).
• One promo code per booking. Codes cannot be combined.
• Pitbay may withdraw or change promo codes at any time without notice.
• Promo-driven discounts (app_discount) are funded by Pitbay and settled to the center separately from your payment.

6. Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the apps for any unlawful purpose.
• Abuse, harass, or threaten center staff or Pitbay support.
• Submit false ratings or reviews.
• Try to interfere with the security or operation of the apps (e.g. by reverse-engineering or attempting to access other users' accounts).
• Use the apps to spam or extract data on other users or centers.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

7. Wash quality & disputes

• Pitbay is a marketplace — the wash itself is performed by the center.
• If you're not happy with a wash, raise it in the in-app chat within 24 hours. We'll work with the center to resolve it (re-wash, partial credit, or other appropriate remedy).
• For damages claimed against the wash center, both parties agree to first attempt resolution via Pitbay support before pursuing other remedies.

8. Vehicle handover, valuables & on-premises liability

• Travel to and from the center. You travel to and from the Center Partner's premises at your own risk. Pitbay is not responsible for any incident, accident, injury, delay, or loss that occurs during that travel.
• Remove your valuables. You must remove all valuables and personal belongings (cash, jewellery, documents, electronics, and any other items) from the vehicle before handing it over to the center. Pitbay is not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, any items left in the vehicle.
• Handover & condition of vehicle. Inspect your vehicle and note its condition with the Center Partner at handover and at return. Any dispute about pre-existing or new damage is to be raised with the Center Partner directly.
• Damage or loss at the premises. Any damage to the vehicle, or any loss, that occurs at or around the Center Partner's premises — during handover, washing, drying, movement of the vehicle, or by the center's staff or cleaning personnel — is a matter solely between you (the vehicle owner) and the Center Partner. As Pitbay merely facilitates the slot booking, Pitbay bears no responsibility or liability for such damage, loss, or dispute, which may arise from the acts or omissions of the vehicle owner, the Center Partner, or the center's cleaning personnel.
• Slot booking only. A booking reserves a time slot if one is available; it is not a guarantee of any particular service quality, timing, or outcome, all of which are the responsibility of the Center Partner.

9. For wash centers

• You must hold all licenses required to operate a car-wash business in your jurisdiction.
• You agree to honour confirmed bookings at the displayed price.
• You agree not to ask customers to cancel Pitbay bookings and re-book directly with you.
• Bank details you provide must belong to the registered business entity. Settlements are credited only to the named account.
• Pitbay takes a platform commission (rate communicated at onboarding). The remainder is settled to your account on the agreed schedule.
• Payouts after completion. Pitbay collects the customer's payment online at booking. Your share (net of the Pitbay platform commission) is paid out only after the booked wash/service is marked complete in the app, on the agreed settlement cycle.
• Dispute holds. If a customer raises an issue about a booking, Pitbay may hold the related payout for up to 7 working days while we investigate, and may adjust the payout to reflect any agreed refund or remedy.
• Commission changes. Any change to the platform commission will be communicated to you by email — to the address you provided at registration (or your latest updated address) — at least 1 week (7 days) before it takes effect.
• Slot management. Pitbay may cancel or rearrange booking slots where reasonably necessary (for example, for operational, availability, technical, or safety reasons), and will notify affected customers.

10. Intellectual property

The Pitbay name, logos, app code, and content are owned by Pitbay. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the apps as intended. You retain ownership of content you create (reviews, photos, messages) but grant Pitbay a worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and store that content for the purpose of operating the service.

11. Service availability

We try to keep the apps available 24×7, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons. Wash centers may be temporarily unavailable.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The apps are provided "as is". Pitbay makes no warranties about the quality of any specific wash or the conduct of any specific center beyond what is required by applicable consumer-protection law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pitbay's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of the service is limited to the total amount you paid to or via Pitbay in the 6 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Termination

• You may close your account anytime by emailing support@pitbay.in.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or for which we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or abuse.
• Sections that are intended to survive (rights granted, IP, retention, liability, governing law) survive termination.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms over time. The Last updated date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be notified via the app and via email to active customers.

16. Grievance Officer

In accordance with India's Information Technology Act and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, complaints about the service can be raised with our Grievance Officer:
